VEIN DISORDERS
(VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY/VARICOSE VEINS)
Vein Disorders (Venous Insufficiency/Varicose Veins)
Varicose veins appear as blue, ropelike vessels underneath the skin that may enlarge from excess pressure. They may be painful, and clotting can occur if an individual does not take care of the issue when it appears.
Venous insufficiency is the result of the leg veins failing to return blood back to the heart, resulting in a venous skin ulcer. These ulcers can form above the ankle, below the calf, and on the sides of the lower leg. Our team can address the issue of venous skin ulcers with treatment and prevention education.
